Ma-ti makes her slow way down from the barrister, her eyes still covered but showing a good sense of the room's dimensions. She stops in front of Faith. "I am Ma-ti, known to my Tradition as Balance. You are now known as Faith, but have many other names depending on your location." It's not a question. Lord Cedric slowly makes his way around the room and exits quietly, so as not to intrude. Faith bows her head slightly, a sign of respect. Her voice is quiet, but it carries well, "Yes. What can I do for you..?" You say "I have examined the lines of your Destiny, and I feel I must warn you. You and yours are in great danger." Faith says "I have had a simliar warning, from a young Verbena disciple.. a friend of mine." Ma-ti nods. "Your friend speaks wisely. Guard the child. Guard her well. A shadow falls across her path, and I would not see her Fall...ever, but especially not so young." Faith studies you for a moment, "I've taken it upon myself to take up the security part of Lucio's duties, and if there's anything I can do to stop it, no one will fall." Ma-ti nods. "That is well. Remember, now is a time of Destiny. Threads tangle easily and are severed too soon. Faith nearly frowns, the slightest turning down of her lip. She draws a breath, then stops. and starts again, "Ma-ti.. there is one I am concerned about. If this young mage is in danger of Falling, and considering her recent contact with the one who concerns me, will he be the cause of that?" Ma-ti frowns. There is a very long pause, and your hair stands on end from the power of the magick this old woman so casually commands. Definitely a multiple Master, maybe a triple or quadruple. "I see the one of whom you speak." There is a slight emphasis on the pronoun. "Her Destiny is now unclear. She must be the one to choose her way. I do not think her danger is from the direction you think it to be, but on this I am not sure. I would have to meet her, and it is..unwise..to work a Reading such as this outside a Realm." Faith averts her eyes for a moment, a reaction to the powerful magicks being used. Her gaze returns to yours and she nods, "If there is anything you can tell me, that I can use to defend against the falling of any of my commrades, I implore you to do so." if there's any emotion given away in her eyes, it's almost a pleading look. You say "Their paths are their own. But I say to you: guard well the child. She is too young yet for her Avatar to make itself known, but it may be corrupted. Should this happen.." Faith nods her head, "Very well." she seems thoughtful now. Ma-ti touches your sleeve. "If you would have advice..I would find he who is lost. For your sake and his own...and beware the wanderer. In this case, he is not the Biblical prodigal, but a threat to all." Faith stiffens, just slightly at the touch. She seems to be thinking outloud to herself more than speaking to you, "If it's not Jonas.. there is only one other male magnus in Asheville, save Josh of course." Ma-ti is silent now, waiting. Faith whispers, "He has lost his path?" Ma-ti purses her lips, considering. "The lost one is not Fallen. Yet. He is lost to himself." Faith seems to be considering what has been said, very deeply. You say "It is the wanderer you must beware." Faith says "Have I met this person?" Ma-ti shakes her head. "His path and yours have not yet crossed..but the intersection of the two is soon, child." Faith nods her head, her own magicks flickering a little, the mindshield she has had up strengthening a bit, or perhaps it's to control emotion. Ma-ti tilts her head. Again you feel that mustering of power, and then if fades. "I have done what I may to help you. Now the Destinies must go where they will. Fare you well, child. May there be blessings upon you this day." Another surge. Cedric walks into the room at that moment and stands just inside the doorway. Waiting. Faith whispers quietly, "Thank you." her head bows again in respect, and she turns to leave. Ma-ti nods to Cedric almost imperceptibly. Cedric approaches and watches Faith out of the corner of his eyes as he goes to Ma-Ti. He seems to be weiging this stranger, in hopes of finding a clue as to her important to the seer. Faith only glances at Cedric for a moment, the glance reveals very little indeed. She retires through the doors. Cedric goes to Ma-Ti and takes her hand gently. "I hope you see good things in that one Seer. All I see is doom."
