It starts out as a simple conversation....

You say "You need more of his time than you're getting?"

Elen looks about 12. "I suupose, though it works for him too, I mean, as
awlm I was hardly with him, and now, well I am back as wingsecond."
Elen blushes. "I should have kept quite, I sound foolish."

Macami shakes her head. "Doesn't sound foolish. I had the same problem
during the first stages of weyrlinghood. It will work out, if you want it
to work out, El." She squeezes the bluerider's hand.

You say "You don't sound foolish at all. You sound like you need
attention."

Elen looks at you both and turns even more pink. "See, I am sounding
spoilt...."

You say "Spoiled? Hardly!"

Macami snorts. "What's that got to do with being spoilt?"

Elen looks down, trying to control the spreading blush.
Elen starts to speak again. "Well...I mean I was spoilt?"

Macami shakes her head. "Elen, who is spoilt? Surely not you."

Elen shrugs. "I am saying that perhaps I ahve been spoilt before is all."
She chuckles. "I might also be worring about all the new young riders
there are about as well."

Macami arches one brow. "What group of young riders?"

Elen looks straight at the brownrider. "Who do you think?"

Macami peers. "You mean us? Former Mirage? Aren't we doing just fine?"

Elen rolls her eys. "I mean you are all capturing D'ew's eye a little!"

Jaegon chuckles. "_I_ caught D'ew's eye when he was proddy!"

Elen smiles at Jaegon. "Oh you would catch it when he wasn't too."

You say "He's never shown a sign of it before."

Elen shrugs. "Well he is usually a subtle man, well at times."

Macami snorts at that. "El, he's always been like that. He's a
greenrider. He flirted like mad when I was historian, and he won't ever
change, I'm sure. I thought you had gotten used to it, dear."

Elen laughs lightly. "I do not care about his flirting and well, we ae
not well....exclusive."

Macami peers. "So, what is the problem then?"

Elen ponders awhile. "Well, you know...I think after Delren I am just a
little more insecure."

Jaegon blinks. "Why? When you carried him, you were beautiful! You still
are!"

Elen blsuhes red to the roots of her ehair. "Stop that dear....I know you
are merely being kind."

Macami shakes her head with a smile. "Elen, we have an eye for beauty.
You still look fabulous, my dear friend."

Jaegon shakes his head firmly. "I am not just being kind. You were
gorgeous."

Elen shifts uncomfortably, unable to take compliments. "Erm..."

Jaegon glances up at the sky as Ranth passes overhead. Well, sort-of.
"It's true, Elen."

Elen sighs. "Whatever you say, though well, I know what I am."

Macami nods at that. "It is true, El. Really. Would we lie to you?"

Elen grins at you both now. "Well I would hope not."

You say "See?"

Elen giggles a little, though her cheeks remain flushed. "Okay I do, and
you two are pretty good looking yourselves."

Macami throws back her curls in mock-vanity. "I was hoping you'd say
something like that." She winks.

Jaegon chuckles. "Why, thank ya. I like to think so myself." He bats his
eyelashes at you.

Elen looks at Macami first and shakes her head. "Good job I am immune."
To Jaegon she chuckles. "Well we all know /that/."

Macami pouts a bit. "You are immune? The one falls asleep, you are
immune...I'm no good rider I think. Nobody wants me. Almost nobody." She
grins.

Elen laughs! "Now I /know/ who you have entranced dear brownrider."

Jaegon just looks at Cami, not saying anything.

Macami chuckles and leans comfortably against Jaegon. "Yes? Say, who?"

Elen chuckles. "That lovely P'ter and a certian bluerider whi I think Jae
is fond enough of too."

Jaegon pokes Cami's side. "See? she's not even being subtle about it!"

Macami smiles wistfully. "Yes, P'ter is my darling. But I wouldn't say
this bluerider is enchanted. That's the wrong term. It's the other way
round." She sighs. "Back to the same old topic."

Elen looks at Jaegon. "Which blue are you thinking of?"

Jaegon blinks. "I was thinking of Ranth."

Elen chuckles. "Well see, we are all on the same wave length."

Jaegon nuzzles the side of Cami's head. "It's not going to go away,
Camilove," he says softly. "She does care about you.

Macami rubs her nose. "I will believe this the day she tells me so. I'm
just one of her bedpets, nothing more. Why can't I ever be satisfied with
that?" She sighs

Siara heads over from the busier main beach.
Siara comes trailing over the sand, watching her toes appear and
disappear interestedly.

Elen waves to Siara. "Oh dear, glad to see you!"

Jaegon is hugging Cami in a brotherly sort of way.

Macami sits up, cheeks slightly flushed, and unconsciously runs a hand
through her hair. She smiles up at Siara, not saying anything.

Siara waves, "Oh, hi!"

Elen pats the sand next to her. "Come and joinme will you?"

Siara nods, "Sure." She falls onto the sand by Elen and pulls off her
sandals, preperatory to removing everything else. "What're you guys doing?"

You say "Just enjoying my restday."

Macami shrugs. "Talking," she states, then idly trails patterns in the
sun. Strangely she draws an orchid into the sand, without consciously
noticing.

Siara blinks. "Rest day?" She shakes her head. "I came out to get ready
for the fall later. "
Siara nods to Elen, "Too bad Sandstorm is such an incompetent wing. Must
make it hard for you."

Macami snorts at that. "Siara, please."

Elen sighs. "That comment is beneath me as well as you Siara."

Siara grins. "Well, Aellya never has to yell herself hoarse at us. We all
know what to do."

Elen thinsk a while. "Hmm, well we all know our jobs, and any implication
to the contrary is rather offensive dear."

Macami destroys the pattern in the sand as she recognizes the orchid,
shaking her head angrily.

Siara shrugs, well into the bravado that helps her cope with threadfall.
"You started talking about it, not me. Sirroco won't leave one burrow for
Benden. You'll see."

Celie heads over from the busier main beach.
Celie strides up from the main beach, barefoot and wading in the
shallows.

Elen waves to Celie and then rolls her eyes at Siara. "Well personally I
would rather let my actions speak for themselves."

Siara waves to Celie too, as she starts unbuttoning. She eloquently
sticks out her tongue at Elen./ "Me too."

Jaegon stares off at the water, lost in thought.

Celie waves back, striding up and mincing her steps on the hot sand. She
pauses to slip on her sandals.

Macami grabs Jaegon's arm and stares onto the lake too as she sees what
Siara is doing.

Jaegon yelps as Cami grabs his arm and looks over, right at Siara. He
raises an eyebrow and looks back at Cami. "What??"

Elen rols her eyes at the 'youngsters' and smiles at Celie. "How is it
going?"

Macami shakes her head. She mutters to Jaegon, "... nothing. Just... me
hold... for... sanity... you know."
You sense Macami shakes her head. "Nothing, just nothing. Just let me
hold onto you. She's taxing for my sanity, you know."

Celie hmmms, taking a deep breath. "Its quiet. For a change. What're you
all up to?

Siara gets her shirt off and starts spreading on the oil, "Just getting
ready for threadfall later," she says dutifully.

Jaegon shrugs and nods, slowly prying his arm free. He puts it back
around Macami and then blinks.

Elen nods at Siara's words. "Indeed Celie, I am having a last relax,
Shayne is not flying threa today,s o well..."

Celie nods, rubbing at the back of her neck. She spares a glance at
Siara. "Don't you know you'll fry your skin off putting that oil on?"

Siara shakes her head to Celie, "That's never happened before, in all the
time I've used it."

Celie says "There's always a first time." She shrugs. "It's your hide.
You'll be awfully uncomfortable during Fall if you burn yourself."

Macami leans her head on Jaegon's shoulder, closing her eyes. Best not to
see anything.

Elen shudders at the thought. "Siara, Celie I would think has experience
of this..."

Siara shakes her head. "I always fly better if I smell good and my skin
isn't dry," she says of her pre-fall ritual.

Celie rolls her eyes. "Never mind that we all smell like leather and
smoke when we get back."

Elen wrinkels up her noce. "Odd how I have gotten use to that."

You say "Elen?"

Elen turns to Jaegon. "Yes dear?"

You say "Is that bronze up on the rim in your wing? And if so, why is he
rapelling down?"

Elen frowns a little. "Er, is it S'tran's bronze?"

Jaegon shades his eyes. "Kinda silvery streaks on the belly and lower
wings?"

Siara lies back in the sand, all oiled, getting comfortable, shading her
eyes, and listening.

Macami still has her eyes closed, thinking it safer.

Celie just shakes her head, muttering to herself.
"Tempted....hide....numbweed."

Elen thinsk a minute and then nods. "Yes that is him...hmmmmmm, Kineth
seems confused..."

You say "Well, his rider is either drunk or stupid."

Siara murmurs automatically, "I am not!"

Macami senses "Jaegon squeezes you gently."

You sense Macami squeezes back, leaning firmly against you.

Elen looks worried as Kineth has obviously got a message through. "Oh no,
this kid!!!! Just as Shayne is at Shipfish." She stands up.

You say "Tell Kineth to get up there and hold the line in his claw. If
it's insecurely anchored, the idiot could fall."

Elen looks away to the other ebach a while and then nods, worry lines
clear uopn her face. "I /hope/ that my warning has reached him too."

Macami opens her eyes now. "What's the matter?" Tivuketh rumbles
restlessly. Too many people making too much noise.

Siara looks up for a moment, propping herself on her elbow. "What's going
on?"

You say "S'tran's trying to rappell down from the Rim. Like he doesn't
have better things to do than wear himself out before Fall."

Siara blinks. "Why's he doing a dumb thing like that! Why's his dragon
letting him?"

Celie shades her eyes, looking up toward the Rim. "That idiot," she
mutters. "If he doesn't kill himself, I'll do it for him."

You say "I think you'll have to stand in line, Celie."

Elen leaps to her feet to stare after Kineth. "Hmmm, I get a go first
Celie....looks as though Kineth is doing his bit.."

Macami snorts. "What a stupid fool indeed. That serves no purpose." She
gets a good look at Siara and sighs.

Elen has her fists clenched, and then they relax, she can see that the
rope has dispeared. "It /seems/ he has stopped..."

Celie eyes unfocused for a moment and her face sets.

Siara watches, body tensed. "It's so unfair of him to do this to us
before fall!" she complains.

Jaegon nods, shading his eyes. "Don't ever let anyone tell you bronzes
are the smartest dragons. Jays. None of your dragons would have let you
do that!" He shakes his head. Then grins. "Zmeth didn't stop K'tel
either."

Siara nods agreement. "Ranth wouldn't do something like that. Ever."

Elen turns to Celie. "Do you think we need to get up there?"

Celie nods, then stoops and picks up Siara's shirt, tossing it at her.
"It certainly is." She shakes her head at Elen. "Kineth has the rope?"

Macami senses "Jaegon strokes your arm gently, trying to soothe you."

Siara catches the shirt. "What? You want me too?"

Elen nods quickly. "He does indeed, but....he would't go down, well..."

Macami pats Jaegon's arm then jumps up to sit between Tivuketh's
forelegs, softly talking to him.

Kaluri heads over from the busier main beach.
Kaluri spiral above Siara, chirring softly and looking for a perch.

Celie says "I want you to put it on. We were talking about fairness,
right? Consider how your wingmates will feel if they have to cover you
because you fried yourself this afternoon."

You say "Has he reached bottom yet? I can't see him at this angle."

Siara sighs and puts on the shirt, muttering to herself. Aloud she says
"Yes, Celie." with dutiful obedience.

Celie says "He's almost there. He'll probably be safer against the rock
face, though."

Elen nods to Jaegon. "Kineth seesm to have relaxed alot now." Elen's face
still shows lines of worry though.

Siara barely notices the firelizard hovering near her, as she watches the
rim.

Kaluri chirps and places herself dutifully on Siara's head!

You say "He's not going to have any hide when you all get done with him."

Siara swats at her hair, "Hey, get out!" she says irritably.

Kaluri flutters a bit and settles on the girl's shoulder.

Celie hmphs. "He's going to wish he fell when I get done with him."

Elen looks rather angry. "Well, I for one will make his life a misery for
a while yet."

Jhalor heads over from the busier main beach.

Siara grins. "I think you should let /me/ punish him."

Elen looks at Siara and raises a brow. "Tell me how?"

Jhalor raises his brow at the mention of a 'him'. Tiptoing behind Siara,
he gently removes the gold and whispers into the girl's ear, "Heyla,
cuz...."

Celie snorts. "I don't think so, Siara."

Siara jumps as Jhalor startles her. "Oh, this is /yours/!" she says
disgruntled, nodding towards the firelizard. Elen's question goes
mercifully unanswered. They really didn't want to know.

Jhalor takes a step back and watches Siara, before nodding and bowing to
the others in the vicinity/area. "Hello!'

Elen looks at Celie now. "I think you and I togther should scare him
fairly well."

Siara grins at Jhalor, "Say, do you all know my cousin?"

Jaegon glances over, colors, and grins. "We've, ah, kinda met."

Celie nods. "I'm working on that." She smiles wickedly. "Pity the bronze
who has to relay Urieth's chiding..."

Elen chuckles. "Oh I do, belive me I do." To Siara she nods. "I think
so.."

Siara nods, "Oh, that's right, at the gather!" she smiles, unembarrased.

Jhalor flushes a tad as well, "Uhm.. that...."

Macami looks around Tivuketh's side to see another one of those Sebrings.
She politely nods.

Siara smiles at Jhalor, "Is Solant with you?"

Jaegon decides talking about the stupid wingrider is safer. "I pity any
dragon who has to listen to Urieth when she's irate. She doesn't get that
way much, but she's really intimidating!" He grins at Celie.

Jhalor shakes his head, "Back at the camp, doing his duty as always.
Returning Macami's nod, he smiles a tad boyishly before looking back to
Siara.

Elen nods to Jae and Celie. "Indeed she is, I belive Kineth is quivering
too right now."

Siara sighs. "Oh. He hasn't even been to see Sahra yet," she pouts. "Or
give her a present." The pout clears quickly. "Well, at least /you're/
here," she says to Jhalor with a charming smile, preferring this as a
pre-fall activity, to watching stupid bronzeriders nearly kill
themselves.

Celie grins. "She seems to consider bronzes like I consider bronzeriders
- cute to look at but definately lacking in the commonsense department."

You say "I don't know which is scarier."

Jhalor muffles a erk as he finally remembers. Pulling out a small
package, he uhms. "I got this for Sahra, it's a bracelet. It should...
fit.."

Celie says "That depends."

Elen chuckles. "You know, this gives me so much extra fuel in my argument
with V'ral, and Celie, you would be on my side by the sound of it."

You say "What argument is that, if I can be nosy."

Celie chuckles. "It depends on whether or not you're a bronzerider or
not." She glances at Elen. "What's he up to now?"

Siara smiles, taking the package, "Oh, thank you!" She looks at Jhalor,
"You want to go somewhere else?"

Jhalor blinkblinks, "Sure, that is if -you- want to..."

Jaegon gives Cami a sympathetic glance.

Elen grins at Jaegon. "Oh a real freindly one, been going for turns. I
consider the bronzes are mainly for show." she winks to show she is
joking. "That the blues, green and browns do all the work."

You say "You certainly do your share of it!"

Siara gives Celie a look and then nods to Jhalor, "Yeah, where I can do
what I want!"

Jhalor opens his mouth and then closes it, "Sure... okay...."

Celie peers over at Siara. "You fry, you fly. I don't want here /one/
whimper out of you if you do."

Macami returns Jaegon's glance, and shrugs.

Elen grins at Jaegon. "You I think know which side your bread is
buttered."

You say "Me I think has nothing to lose by being honest."
Jaegon grins at Elen.

Siara rolls her eyes, but merely says, "Yes, Celie," In that annoyingly
dutiful tone.
Siara walks along the sands to the main beach.

Jhalor walks along the sands to the main beach.

Elen laughs. "Well all I know is that V'ral enjoys teasing me rotten and
that he knows I am right really."

Kaluri glides high into the wide open before whirling around in a tight
circle. She disappears into *between* with a soft >>Whoosh!<<

Celie grits her teeth. "I hope she /does/ get a burn, just to prove me
right."

Elen looks at Celie, loosing the smile. "If she does, you will her the
complaints for weeks."

Celie shakes her head. "No, I won't. I'll just smile and walk away."

Elen shrugs. "In that case you are stronger than I."

Celie hmphs. "I've had a lot of practice ignoring her, actually. You
forget who was WLM for her class."

Elen grins. "How could I forget my WLM dear....impossible!"

Macami gets up. "I think I want to take a nap before fall starts.
Tivuketh's laziness today is infectious." She smiles to Jaegon. "Thanks
for all."

You say "Is P'ter up there?"

Celie chuckles. "You'll forget. They always do."

Now why would Jae ask that? For whatever reason, he did and he's watching
Cami now.

Elen snorts. "Celie, there is no way...trust me, you were in the back of
my mind allthe time during the weyrling training thsi time."

Celie sighs. "Well, Siara doesn't seem to remember."

Macami laughs and shakes her head. "No, he isn't. He always hides before
a fall, brooding and think. I really want to nap, you know."

Elen shrugs. "That is to be expected, I mean, she never did at the time
either."

You say "I know. Would you like a backrub first?"

Macami grins. "Sure, Jae? Wanna come up?"

Jaegon nods. "Sure. You could use it.

Elen looks at the other two and grins. "Seems you now get stuck with me
Celie."

Celie stifles a yawn. "Hmmmm. Actually, I was thinking of heading up for
a nap before Fall."

Elen grins. "Well, do not let me stop you dear."

Celie chuckles. "See you then."
Celie walks along the sands to the main beach.

Macami adeptly climbs up to sit between Tivuketh's neckridges, strapping
herself to her lifemate.

Jaegon looks up at Tivuketh. "HEre I come, ready or not.."

Tivuketh
As you sit atop the brown dragon, admiring his muscular build, you can
see the darker spots of various colours rippling upon his hide. He lifts
his head and calmly looks at his rider, ready to go where she wants to.
He wears his fighting straps which should be put to use before he lifts
to the air.

Macami

Macami leans forward to offer a hand and her lifemate extends his foreleg
with a whuffle so that you can easily climp up.

Away from Tivuketh, Elen waves after the pair. "Make sure you ahve
fun..."

Macami waves down to Elen. "I'm sure we will." She grins.
