deemelody - Wednesday, May 12, 1999, 9:33 PM -------------------------------------------- Melody comes in for the first time in a while. She looks like she's not been sleeping. Gabriel 's footsteps are heavy yet he walks with cat-like grace as he walks across the room heading towards the tables. Nicky gives Melody a slight smile...he looks a little tence himself. Melody waves to Nicky. "Hey, thanks for the flowers!" she calls. Nicky says, "Hi sweety...glad you got them." You say, "They were really nice. I needed them." Etienne watches curiously and silently. Nicky says, "Come join us Melody....do you know etienne?" You say, "Sure don't. Hey Etienne." Melody sits at The bar. Etienne looks over his shoulder curiously at the woman. Gabriel glances across the room to find an empty spot to sit in. You say, "Melody Savon. I'm a TA at the University." Gabriel sits at The bar. Etienne nods gently to her and smiles a little. At the bar, Nicky says "Your looking a bit worn milady...is all well?" Fransisco wanders back in. At the bar, Melody says "Just having a rough time with classes lately." Fransisco nods to Gabriel. Fransisco sits at The small table in the dark corner. Nicky jiggles his foot with a restless, barily contained energy. At the bar, Nicky says "Need to sleep some." At the bar, Melody says "You or me?" Etienne glances to Sisco and nods once. Nicky leans in to give Melody a light hug. At the bar, Nicky says "You should take care of yourself" Melody leans into the hug. Gabriel nods his head in recogniton to Fransisco. He then stands up from his seat and begins to cross the room in Fransisco's direction. At the bar, Melody says "I do my best. It's almost over now..the rough part." Gabriel gets up from The bar. Gabriel says, "May I join you Senor?" Nicky looks faintly relived to see Gabriel moveing away Fransisco nods, "if you like" He motions to a chair. Etienne glances towards Lousie and then orders himself some coffee. Gabriel takes a seat at Fransisco's table facing the rest of the room. Gabriel sits at The small table in the dark corner. At the bar, Nicky smiles to Etienne..."Coffee...good idea. I need a refill" At the bar, Etienne curls his fingers around his cup and smiles At the bar, Melody says "Just milk for me." Nicky orders a milk for Melody and more coffee for himself Joseph wanders in from the street. Joseph steps into the library, chewing on his nails. He looks over at Etienne and Nicky, a crooked grin spreading over his face. Etienne glances over his shoulder towards the door and suddenly his whole demeanor brightens. Nicky is at the bar, looking deciedly figity. He gives Joe a wave. Gabriel glances up as the the door opens and a new face enters the room. Joseph plops himself on a stool by Etienne. Joseph sits at The bar. At the bar, Joseph says "Hey. How's it goin' everybody?" Melody glances over with a half-smile. Etienne gently pats Nicky's shoulder and then smiles towards Joe. At the bar, Joseph says "Nicky? You okay?" Nicky keeps one eye on Gabriel.... At the bar, Nicky says "Yes..yes. I'm fine." At the bar, Melody says "Don't like him, huh?" At the bar, Etienne furrows his thin brows faintly At the bar, Nicky shrugs..."He's just large." Gabriel nods his head in the direction of the curious man who watched him. Joseph looks around the room then back to Nicky. At the bar, Etienne says "I have seen other large people..." Fransisco looks to Gabriel, then Nicky, then Gabriel, then Nicky again, then speaks apparently to Nicky. "He's with me." He leaves it at that and turns back to Gabriel. At the bar, Melody says "You bean the big guy....whew. How rude." Etienne silently sips his coffee... used to wierdness it seems. At the bar, Nicky says "Umm...yeah." Nicky grins a bit oddly...and bounces up from his stool. Nicky says, "I need to get moving...to much coffee." You say, "Want company?" Etienne frowns slightly Nicky says, "Sure ..sure." Joseph watches Nicky, not quite sure what's going on. Gabriel eyes Nicky curiously Nicky gives the room at large a quick, jittery smile..and moves out of the place. Nicky heads out of the Library. Melody shrugs, gets up and follows. Nicky comes out of the AL...looking deciedly wired. Max Sterling is sitting by the curb as his companion just took off.. Melody follows Nicky out. Nicky flicks out a clove and lights it...then gives a slight sigh...."Need to walk...yes." Nicky goes up a rather large hill. Max Sterling glances down the street at nicky.. "you alliright?" Melody follows. "What's up, hon? Do we need to go to the trees?" Nicky gives you a faintly puzzled look... as he walks with a long legged stride over the soft grasses...."Trees?" You say, "The tree circle. Where we did Samhain." Nicky says, "No....just need to move. Feeling restless." You say, "What was the deal with those two?" Nicky says, "Just to big..." he shakes his head... "Bad brain day"" You say, "it's OK. You been doing your meditation, hon?" Nicky shakes his head..."Missed a couple days while i was travling. Couldn't settle. You say, "I can tell. You're tenser than normal." Nicky nods quickly and keeps moving. Nicky goes up the hill toward campus. You head up the hill to campus. Melody keeps pace. "So how was the trip, other than long and disruptive?" Nicky says, "it was just a few days...comong home to find Galen had been bothered didn't help" You say, "Yeah. I was only on the edge of that, I ended up babysitting while Iris did her thing." Nicky says, "What was going on. Galen downplaied it..and I simply never hear from Iris and Tracy" You say, "Near as I heard, some kind of ghost came in, and scared him. harmless, but scary I'm sure." Nicky says, "Wired fucking world." Nicky curses softly as the traffic keeps him from crossing the street. Melody just starts across with the student's assurance of right-of-way. Nicky flings himself into the mess after you...clearly this is not his normal, flowing self. No one hits you. Apparently the drivers are used to this too. Nicky says, "So...whats up with school." Nicky gets across the street..and wanders over the campus grounds...no real place in mind...just moving for moving's sake You say, "More like what's up with everyone. Gregory won't treturn my calls. Tracy and Iris are out of town suddenly without saying goodbye." Nicky says, "They went on some beach vacation." Nicky says, "Don't feel bad m'lady....i'm in the same wash. I have not seen greg in ages...and Tracy, Iris and i have officialy parted comapny" Melody nods, discontented still. "If Greg was going to dump me, he could at least tell me...you have?" Nicky says, "You two were dating?" Melody nods. "Sleeping together on a fairly regular basis, actually." Melody sighs. Nicky says, "Nice..." Nicky makes a slight face. You say, "And my tools...I thinnk someone's trying to frame me for something, Nicky."" Nicky says, "That theft?" You say, "No. Something bigger." Nicky trys to settle....and stands, tho still moving with a contained energy..."Tell me?" Melody sighs. "Every other time I've heard of something like this..they've ended up killing the accused. Saying they're black." She slants a gaze at you. Nicky says, "Well...be careful..i surely can't help much." Nicky says, "Have you seen Ryan, told him aobut this?" You say, "Just watch your back. And no matter what they say about me, don't believe it." Melody seems..resigned? Nicky says, "What has happoned...you still haven't said." You say, "My tools were taken from me. And not by someone who broke in, either." Her voice is very low. "Who knows what they've done to them..." Nicky says, "What tools?" You say, "My knife. Some hair I used to watch Tracy's dreams...with his consent!" Nicky says, "So...then what can someone use that for?" You say, "Depends. Do enough nasty to it, give it a bad resonance, instant Nephandi-frame." Nicky stiffens...."Damn...not one of those. Last one almost killed me. Nicky shakes his head...."I hardly think they can mistake you for one of the shadows. Melody shakes her head. "Bet me it happens. BET me." Nicky says, "I would not bet...its like asking for it to happon." You say, "Yeah. Well." Nicky says, "Can i help somehow?" Melody sighs. "Probably not. I can't do anything, that's for sure. Anyone who could steal my tools is much buffer than me." Nicky says, "It would help if it made more sence." Nicky sighs...."I feel like i am living with a time bomb..and all the directions are written in some dead language You say, "I know the feeling, hon." Nicky wanders around in circles...."What a trip" You say, "Wishing you were still asleep?" Nicky says, "No...not that." You say, "What, then?" Nicky says, "I think i was going to not be able to hold it together much longer....at least now i know the weirdness is real and not the figments of my head" Nicky says, "its still wierdness tho" Melody reaches out to touch your shoulder. "It's real." Nicky flinchs slightly at the unexpected touch...."I know. How strange it is....to say a ghost was in my house...and not think that its all that... impossible Melody gives you a sympathetic look, not prolonging the contact in any way. "Yeah. It's not easy." Nicky says, "Its wierd." Nicky says, "I want you to come thru this....your been my best company." Melody says softly "I'm sorry, Nicky. My gut says I'm in deep danger." Nicky says, "From who?" Melody shrugs. "Ryan. Greg. Maybe Iris." Nicky says, "its nuts" You say, "It is." Nicky says, "Why not leave?" You say, "They stole my tools from my room, Nicky. What good is fleeing? If they can do that, they have the tools, they can scry me." Melody's voice has an edge of desperation. Nicky shakes his head...."I'll talk to Ryan. Of all of them...he makes the most sence Melody nods. "Hope it helps." Nicky says, "I should get home" Melody nods. "You gonna be OK?" Nicky nods...."i'll run..burn off this stuff Melody nods. "Can I have a hug?" Nicky nods...and tucks you into a hug, arms strong around you. "We will get thru this milady Melody hugs tightly. "So mote it be, Nicky." Nicky says, "Take care you." Nicky gives you a slight smile..then takes off like a shot, the build of energy at last to much to hold.
