Admitting Rio

Maya convinces Richard to let Rio, his alter ego, free for a moment so they can find out what he wants. Richard is wary, but agrees.

Maya kneels to hold you. "You've created an innocent. Benjamin guarded
you..now there is someone who might need guarding."

Richard puts his arms around you. "But I'm not LIKE Benjamin Maya. And
besides I have YOU to guard."

Maya chuckles softly, burying her face in your hair. "My Knight. And
you're not like Benjamin, no..but he was like you. So, I think, is Rio."

You say "But in what way Maya, what part of me is he supposed to fill?"

Maya says "I don't know..but I know a way you can find out, if you're
willing."

You say "I trust you Maya."

Maya nods, stroking your temples gently. "And I love you, and need you to
feel whole." She kisses your forehead where your Eye will be, if you ever
have it. "Relax, love.."

Richard closes his eyes and lets out a slow breath. "I'll try..."

Maya hums softly to you, a song you once wrote for her. You wrote it
before you werem married, on the island, when you could still see the
sun...She keeps stroking your hair. You sense she hasn't started yet, but
wants to just be close to you for a moment..for her sake as much as
yours.

Richard basks in your inner warmth and visibly relaxes.

Maya whispers almost to herself "We need to go back to the island and
play hide-and-seek..."

Richard chuckles and replies. "Nude.."

Maya's low chuckle is more felt than heard. "OK, but we'll have to watch
for briars.." She doesn't seem to be objecting. "Aren't you scared of
moonburn?"

You say "Only on my butt."

Maya giggles. She begins stroking your hair, and an indefinable warmth
seems to caress you. "I'll put moonscreen on it then..you can be the
silvertone vamp, with a Garou pulling off your undies..?"

Richard snorks. "No thank you, the only person I want pulling off my
undies right now is you."

Maya nuzzles your cheek. "Mmmm......I need you to relax, not get aroused,
dear one. I was thikning more of a massage, long and sweet, in the
moonlight on the beach.."

You say "Sounds like a dream." 

Maya begins to rub your shoulders."Listening to the waves, and feeling
the warmth of the night, with just enough breeze off the water to keep
frombeing too hot, and not enough to be cold..one of those wonderful,
rare, magical nights. And the stars so clear.."

Richard mmms and sighs. "Yeah, away from all of this madness."

Maya nods a little, her soft cheek brushing against yours. HEr hands
smooth down from your shoulders to your upper arms. "Away where it's
peaceful..where we can hold hands, and kiss all night long if we want.."

Richard mrrrs and smiles. "I thought the point ws to relax, not get
aroused."

Maya nuzzles softly. "OK, how about just snuggle and rub each other down
with warm massage oil..mmmm...."

You say "Maybe just snuggle. *cuddle*"

Maya nods, and begins to rub your hands. "Yep..just relax and dream
together.." Her voice is softer. "Relax and just be one together with
each other, you and I..."
Maya begins to *listen*, linking her perceptions with your thoughts.

Richard's mind is beginninto open up adn there is a mental white glow in
his thoyughts.

Maya snuggles you closer to her. "Mmm...like when we used to sleep
together and you'd wake up before me and just watch me sleep, remember?"

You say "I still do that. When I can...but you sleep so little these
days..."

Maya mmms. "I'll do it more now you like watching me still..." She kisses
your cheek gently.

You say "Good...I worry about you as much as you worry about me."

Maya kisses you again. "I'd rather think about curling up with you..."
she whisper. "Just curling up and relaxing with you.." Her massage moves
to your temples.

You say "Yeah....I could go to sleep tright here."

Maya mmmmms.."Let that relaxation deepen, love..just fall back into it.
I'm right here behind you, and I will always be with you...now and
forever..to catch you..."

You say "I'm glad....so afraid of fallin..."

Maya's arms tighten around your shoulders. "I'm right here...just lay
back into me..and let yourself go for a moment, let me hold you.."

Richard is silent.

Maya caresses yor cheek. "Love, are you listening?" she asks softly.

Wherever he is...he isnt here.

Maya murmurs next to your ear "I love you."

Richard's lips move silently but his words are indecipherable.

Maya sharpens her hearing to compensate.

You catch, "you...too.

Maya whispers "All right, love..listen to me carefully. I need you to
mentally step aside. Just visualize yourself stepping to one side,
mentally, and you can still watch all that's going on. I promise you
won't lose track of everything. Step to one side, now."

Richard shudders and in your mind you can sense him beside you, slightly
beside himselfd.

Maya calls softly "Rio.." She checks to make sure Richard is still aware.

Richard watches curiously and Rio stirs slowly, "Maya..?"
